House No. 2

Front Face 1
Front Face 2

This house shares several similarities with House No. 1 in its exterior design aspects, notably the staggering, fragmented cube-like effect in construction. The entrance is clearly defined by the coloured red brick and brown wooden door. Both homes have a roof balcony, which is a rare feature to see in most house designs.

The architectural exterior features of homes are intriguing to me. In a sense, they tell a story about the people who occupy and live in them. This particular home, east of downtown Lethbridge is my favorite house. It is attractive in its classic, modern design of simple geometric squares, line formations and materiality. I try to imagine how the space is organized within the home based on the windows and their locations. I imagine that it is spacious inside and offers an interesting layout. A beautiful house indeed.
